Hear Indiana Appoints Interim CEO to Lead Hear Indiana into the Future

Indianapolis, IN— Hear Indiana, a leading nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with hearing loss, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ellyn McCall as the Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective August 2, 2023. As Clinical Supervisor, McCall brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the organization’s mission, making her the ideal candidate to lead Hear Indiana during this transitional period.

With a distinguished career as a Clinical Supervisor, Listening and Spoken Language Specialist, and Deaf Educator, McCall has a proven track record of driving growth and fostering innovation. Her strategic vision and dedication to the community align perfectly with the core values of Hear Indiana, and as a parent to a child with hearing loss, she can relate to families on both a personal and professional level.” As Interim CEO, she will play a crucial role in advancing the organization’s mission to support individuals with hearing loss and provide them with the resources they need to thrive. McCall believes strongly in helping each child reach their full potential and has witnessed the life changing effects of Hear Indiana’s camp and educational conference first hand as camp co-director and conference director.

McCall will lead the organization during this interim period while Thornton, the outgoing CEO, transitions into new endeavors. “McCall has been instrumental in guiding Hear Indiana to new heights, and we are excited for her to take on this role,” said Grant Krevda, Chairperson of the Board of Directors. “We are confident that McCall will restart the organization’s momentum and lead Hear Indiana towards continued success.”
